New and old
Get away from video games and Facebook and get out into nature with your friends. Nothing draws you closer to friends than spending a couple of days in the wilderness.
Let’s get crazy!
Backpacking, hiking, swimming, 80-foot water-slide, archery, horseback riding, arts and crafts, softball, field games, zip-line, climbing tower...Enough said! You will get messy.
Deepen your relationship with Christ
Faith is at the core of Camp Bosco. We will celebrate the Holy Eucharist every day and you will experience many forms of prayer throughout the week - individual time with God on the hikes and backpacking adventures and together as a group each morning.
The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston has operated Camp Bosco (formerly Camp Tygart) since 1965. Bishop Hodges began the camp under the direction of founder, Reverend Leon Alexander. From the early beginnings of campers sleeping under the stars in one of our pastures, it has grown to a residential camp of over 400 campers a summer. 2014 marked 50 years of camping in the diocese.
Camp Bosco is for children entering 3rd - 12th grade (8-17 years old)
